With the development of enterprise applications, AGV as an automated transportation mobile platform can help humans reduce labor intensity and improve work comfort, while also performing some "impossible tasks". For example, when AGV robots are used in the assembly of large-scale equipment such as automobiles, the efficiency improvement is obvious. It is the most direct result of significantly reducing the labor intensity of workers and reducing the number of laborers. At the same time, the automation of loading, unloading and handling is greatly improved.

As my country’s robotics technology started relatively late, the AGV robots independently developed by my country in the past few years can only engage in some point-to-point regular transportation. Adopting the master-slave control method, the AGV shares the master AGV instructions through feature matching in the information of the AGV central control system, and obtains the positioning information of the master AGV through algorithms, so as to achieve tracking control and obtain coordinated motion control of multiple AGVs.

The comprehensive AGV technology concentrates the research results of multiple disciplines such as sensor technology, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, automation control engineering, and artificial intelligence.
